About The Trust

The Dysart Trust was established in 2002 as a registered charity (SC033137).

With the objective to:

“collect, preserve and make known the history and working of Dysart.”

It is led by a team of volunteers.

The trust is the custodian, on behalf of Fife Regional Council, for the Townhouse and Tollbooth in Dysart.

The Townhouse is the venue for a fascinating and growing local heritage museum.

The museum is open throughout the summer on Sundays and for one off events.

The Tollbooth, shown here, is not generally open to the public.

See the “plan your visit” page for more details.
