Harbour

The build of Dysart harbour was started in the early seventeenth century, raising the east pier by building on existing reefs of rock running in a southerly direction.

The inner harbour was constructed on the site of a former quarry, and the chisel marks of the quarry workers can still be seen on the steep rock face above it.
